For centuries (or as long as this earth has been in existence), man has grappled with numerous problems. A bully is for most of us usually the first instance of a "pain in the ass", so to speak. I can remember an instance in which our school in my elementary days - his name shall remain anonymous for fear of retribution - would steal students' lunch. He would steal a classmate's lunch every day. For years we were subjected to this gruesome act of humanity, and for years we put up with it.
Until one day students in the school - those that had fallen victim to his bullying, those who were friends of those bullied, and casual people out in search of a good prank to liven up an otherwise sleepy school-year, decided to get back at this bully. It was the day before the prom when a group of the loudest students of those being bullied decided on holding a secret meeting. Convening cladestinely, under the false pretense (to the rest of the students unaware of the drama-to-unfold) of holding an annual stickball meeting, they decided on screwing up what was then the biggest event of the school year. After it was all over, the bully, it was surmised, most definitely correctly, that the drama that would befall the bully would be the worst day.
It was decided that one of the students would paint the top of a paper plate with the biggest turd of human dung to have ever come out of his body. It, everyone reasoned, would not only be sufficient retribution for the horrors previously committed by the bully against fellow students during the course of the school year. The plate would be the plate engraved with his name and the school, and upon which, later, pieces of fruit and candy would lay, just following the annual school prom. Nothing would ever grace that plate however, as Billy would later lament. Someone had taken his turd on the plate, and he, crestfallen over the incident, would forgo the prom. Much to the delight of former victims.
